Entheos Radio is an online licensed radio station aimed at giving people the opportunity to get involved with internet radio. Entheos Radio offers the chance for people as young as 13 years old (and up) to get involved, whether it be presenting, journalism, interviewing, scripting for jingles or other idea's. Entheos Radio are one of the few internet radio stations fully licenced by both licences, also providing around the clock entertainment. We have a dedicated team of staff and are always looking for more of you to get involved.
Entheos Radio was founded officially by John Hutchinson on the 1st June 2013. Really, this stuff has been happening since 1992. But thats a whole other story. DJ Blend joined the team just after Entheos Radio started. Now John and Blend are joint owners of the radio, Entheos Radio has grown from strength to strength. Entheos Radio is paid for by Donations and money out of John's pockets. We are a non profit radio station working hard to keep going each year. We are a collective of like minded local, national and international DJs committed to changing the face of radio on the worldwide web, our contributors work in their own right and are represented by Entheos Radio management or their own managers/agencies.
Our team donate their time and talent simply for the sake of everyone having a cracking time, they also use Entheos Radio as a medium for showcasing their own companies, record labels and services as music and art professionals. We are honoured to introduce to you some of the finest musical talent in the business. Entheos Radio fuse raw unsung and unsigned talent with some of the best DJs in the world! We aim to break down the barriers in the industry and make the pro-circuit more accessible to unsigned DJ's, we have had enough of the people at the money end of the industry force feeding poor quality music, controlling DJ's, stifling producers creativity and dictating what they can and can not to on their Radio Stations etc. All our rostered DJ's play for Entheos Radio free of charge. Every penny we are able to obtain goes a long way with the running costs of the station. All money goes into pay our licence fees, equipment and any other charge we have to pay to be legal. No member of staff gets paid for what they do at Entheos Radio, all work is voluntary. Entheos Radio is fully licensed by PPL & PRS/MCPS to broadcast online in the UK, Ireland & other territories as per licensing terms stated by the specified licenses.
Our contributors get a lot more out of being a part of the Entheos Radio movement than we get out of them, and this arrangement keeps everyone happy. Some of our artists are locked to various clubs, promoters, labels and management, so the fact they donate their free time to participate on our station, and no money changes hands, means that their managers/agencies are happy to allow their artists to play for us, and of course playing on our station gives them exposure and free advertising that they may not have gotten elsewhere. We had numerous VIP's on our launch night as well as a line up of seasoned pro DJ's and complete unknowns. Our music has an energy that you can "feel" on the dance floor and no one has heard anything quite like it before.
We are unlike any other radio station. Our programmes are the most diverse you will hear, so confident are we about the output, that we can say you will not hear another format like ours anywhere in the world..!! Entheos Radio is different from most other radio stations in that we are non-commercial. We are not obligated to sell advertisements on the air in order to keep the station operational, though we are allowed to. This allows us to be different with our format and accommodate many different musical tastes into our programming. Our music output encompasses classic hits to the best new music, interspersed with the biggest hits from around the world!! Summed up, we are the collection of many formats on one station. Similar to the way a TV station is programmed, there are blocks of programming (like a TV show) with different tastes of music. As a result, our format is reflective of the area we serve.
