Perfect Driver's sound is a unique blend of house, hip hop, and funk. It combines traditional influences with digital technology and features hip hop beats, house grooves, exploratory effects and humorous samples.
Perfect Driver (real name Matthew Willems) was raised on Classic Rock and early 90's Hip Hop in hometown Green Bay Wisconsin, a 3 hour drive north of house mecca, Chicago. Searching for sounds beyond the local radio dial he quickly became a child of the digital music revolution, tuning into BBC Radio and discovering new artists in online forums. Apart from his regional scene, he developed a passion for dance music, fostering it while traveling in Europe, South America, and New Zealand. While working in the advertising and print industries, he began to DJ and produce, eventually moving to Los Angeles.
