It all started for me when I got into Break Dancing while I was still at school. We used to listen to Electro and Hip Hop which was the craze at the time. Artists like Herbie Hancock, Tyrone Brunson, Juan Atkins and Arthur Baker laid down some awesome tunes.
I got into House Music around 87/88.
A group of friends and I used to listen to all the pirate stations in and around the London area. The likes of Sunrise, Biology, Fantasy, Smart Boys, Kiss FM(when it was a pirate), Rave, Pulse, Rinse and Centreforce.
My first ever rave was Energy's first rave (Pushing up the Power) held at Westway Film Studios, Shepherds Bush on the 27th May 1989. What an experience that was! at the end of the party the police were waiting in droves to try and arrest the organisers.
