Beats, song hooks, and lyrics make up music and would be the sounds you would be hearing on a Saturday night; young people move to the beat that the disc jockey is freshly scratching together. Vinyl records rubbed against the needle simultaneously functions to make the beats the young crowd dances to. The letters D.J. stand for disk jockey. The definition of disk is simple it represents the record, but the definition of the word jockey is to handle or manipulate in a skillful manner. That is exactly what a D.J. does; he handles and manipulates his choice of records in a skillful manner. However, a D.J. just does not just manipulate the record, he manipulates essence of the record, the beats, the rhythm and artist’s song. The D.J. takes samples from other artist songs and creates his own. Turntables are not just an electronic device used to play records; to a D.Jknown........
