The definition of disk is simple it represents the record, but the definition of the word jockey is to handle or manipulate in a skillful manner. That is exactly what a D.J. does; he handles and manipulates his choice of records in a skillful manner. However, a D.J. just does not just manipulate the record, he manipulates essence of the record, the beats, the rhythm and artist’s song.
