Originating from sunny Bournemouth town and loving every second of dj life down on the UK South Coast is XJ. A passionate and meticulous dj whose pin point precision mixing, together with sensational tune selection has his crowds up and glued to the dance floor. XJ applies his sharp and seamless style predominantly to Drum & Bass, House, Trance and Hard Dance, but also enjoys the challenge of dabbling in other genres. XJ has had music running through his veins since birth and began getting more closely involved with music at the age of 13 when he picked up the mic and tried his hand at being an mc. After a few years on the mic XJ had the urge to mix and started messing around on a few of his friends decks. He then became a family man at an early age so XJ took some time out from the music scene and in 2005, he finally acquired his own setup. After a couple of years playing his vinyl at every chance he could get, XJ was ready to play out in his home town. He got involved with some local events and played at several Bournemouth hot spots including The Old Fire Station, Empire, Dusk till Dawn and DNA. When XJ attended university in 2010 he met a few like-minded dance music enthusiasts and together they launched their first drum and bass event Fracture in Bournemouth at the club Dusk Till Dawn. After the success of this event XJ’s passion and drive grew and the rest is history. His monthly residency at SoHo has become a regular hot spot for the local, house hungry bar hoppers. In 2017 XJ toured around Ibiza for his debut on the clubbing island, supporting the Parasol Ibiza Tour in association with Darkest Before Dawn Records. In 2018 he took his skills and sound to Ayia Napa as a resident DJ for Ayia Napa House Party hosted by House Party Events, along with house legend Junior Jack and 48 other national and international djs. In 2019 XJ returned to Ayia Napa with House Party Events alongside his fellow residents and up and coming djs Craig Knight, Franky Wah and Hot like Detroit. Next up in June 2019 will be XJs first festival slot, Home Farm Fest in Somerset, followed by his next summer booking at the largest festival in Wales: Logic Festival. The next step for XJ is production so watch this space! baiodeejay was born in Milan in 1970; grew artistically between dark music and anglo-saxon psychedelia, finds his musical identification in the panorama techno and trance tied to the Detroit scene of the 90's (Damon Wild, Mix Master Morris, Ritchie Hawtin, Orlando Voorn, Jeff Mills, Tim Xavier etc). In the 2000s the his love for the new electronics and a growing interest in house music artistically they will direct him toward the minimal - house and electro mainly linked to Berlin's German scene; musical style influenced by artists like Kraftuerk, Pink Floyd, Brian Eno etc. Matured in the Milan underground scene; today is the owner of an independent record label, called Habitat Recordings L.T.D, founded in the late '90s as well as DJ of some milanese and european clubs where also performs with his crew. DJ and Radio Presenter from Brighton England. Ibiza, Tenerife, Gibraltar, Gran Canaria, Cyprus, Mainland Spainand Morocco are some of the countries I have DJ'd in and of course all over England. On radio I have presented shows on Freedom FM, Energy Radio, Kiss100 (when it was a pirate before it sold out) and produced mixes for Surf 107 in Brighton (Now Juice 107.2) and also Steve Shaw's Ministry of Sound show on the same station. Other radio includes Linekers Radio, DragonFM, KissFM Gran Canaria, PowerFM Tenerife, Sunshine Radio Tenerife, WavesFM TenerifeMusic FM and Wish Radio Now playing on Galaxy Radio Tenerife on Saturday nights and my mixes are streaming on Linekers Bars Websites. I was born in Quebec, Canada. Very young, I developed an interest in dance music, it was always the most rhythmic songs that held my attention on the radio. My first 12 '' I bought was “Love Is In Control” by Donna Summer in 1982, but it was in 1987 that I really started my vinyl collection at a store named Import-O-Son where I also learned the basis of DJing. In 1988 I bought my first mixer that I connected with two family’s turntables. In 1990, I bought my own sound system and my own turntables, I was then addicted. In 1991, I began my series of mix tape called Martymix. I was selling for the bargain price of... $7. I also started my short DJ career; I was doing occasional replacement in a club for teenagers. I also made some mobile disco parties, my biggest being the Christmas party of policemen and firefighter of Quebec City. In 1994, a fire severely damaged my vinyl collection and my sound system. Also, having to start from scratch ended my DJ aspirations. I did get the opportunity to work with Beaugarte’s DJ Christian Pelletier in Ste-Foy. I remember once on a Monday night when there was a lot more customers than usual, I was requisitioned to play music to people who wanted to dance (there was never a DJ or dance on Mondays). This was my last live performance. I eventually returned to school in computer science and started my real career in life. In 2012, being nostalgic of DJing, I bought a small iDJ console to get back in the "beat", but it was not until early 2014 that I really got to work producing a mix of my favorite 50 songs of the year 2013. I then got the idea of reproducing my Martymix tapes with my console, and later launched my series club-a-holic to get in today’s sounds. Although today's technologies greatly facilitate the work of the DJ, I always have great pleasures behind my console and my computer trying to create the best transitions for my listeners.

GroovePunk is a DJ based in West London and the host of 'All About House' - a weekly show live on GrooveLondon Radio every Saturday 4pm - 6pm GMT. After falling in love with House music and buying his first pair of turntables over ten years ago, GroovePunk has played a variety of venues in and around London as well as on a number of Internet radio stations. Growing up just outside London in the mid to late 90s, GroovePunk witnessed the transition from the acid house era of the late 80s/early 90s to the UK/US garage and trance-heavy early 00s.
