La intención es publicar en este canal diferentes sesiones inspiradas en las músicas que durante tantos años bailé y mostré como dj. Todo comenzó en 1995 en el legendario Sketch Club en el que fui residente durante tres años. Como Dj Dab Maia, durante mas de veinte años he estado pinchando en diferentes locales y festivales de Canarias, sobre todo en la isla de Tenerife, y en la ciudad de La Laguna, donde vivo. Otras residencias que duraron unos años fueron la del Txola de La Laguna y Club Musa de Santa Cruz. Participé en varias ocasiones en festivales dedicados a la difusión de músicas del mundo como Diversity, Tensamba, Mumes y Tránsitos. También he hecho radio, y del 2012 al 2017 fundé y dirigí el sello Kalma Records, apoyando y distribuyendo la música de más de ciento cincuenta músicos y productores tanto de las Islas Canarias, como nacionales e internacionales. DJ RICHIE RICH 1 I have been a DJ for years now thanks to my mum and dad as they were DJ,s Mike K and Linda K and Sandy B of Barbarella Disco when they were younger. I used to go with them to the pubs and clubs of Southampton from the pub the Queens where I used to DJ, so i have grown up with music and being a DJ in my life. I have been on a pirate station called peoples choice radio station 25 years ago that's where I picked up my DJ name from but had to change it a bit because of main bad boy DJ Richie Rich. Iv been on a few other internet stations over the past 3 years in Southampton which was set up again peoples choice radio station and then dirty soundz FM all internet based. A sagely old DJ once told me- 'First rule of DJ ing is get the ladies dancing.' Wise words that have put me in good stead for many years of house partying. If the ladies dance, everything else will follow. Most of these mixes have been tried and tested and the first question I ask myself when auditioning tracks......
