Welcome to the History of Disco Series!!!
A definitive collection of classic dance and disco tunes from the 1970s right through to the 2010's
In total there are 10 mixes each with a running time between 2hours and 3 minutes and 3 hours and 37mins
Each mix has more or less the same style starting off with a low BPM and building up to the fastest tracks towards at the end. At the very end of the mixes we wind down and finish up classic slow beat track from the past.
There are remixes and reworks of the original disco songs and a some are the original versions.
Each mix features disco and dance tunes from the 70's through to the
2010s but the theme is mainly disco and most of the tunes from disco age are
reworks. Think of it as a mega collection of all the top disco and
dance tunes that you used to dance to in your favorite club
Mix 5 – We start off with a rework of Starsounds Stars on 45 the intro and then mix it into the original Beatles Medley version that got to number 1 in the Netherland charts in 1981. From there the mix continues with the sounds from Madonna and Into the groove remixed by Shep Petibone for the the Album You can dance. As the mix progresses we slip into the Nineties with the Synthpop classic from Electronic and Getting away with it. Then we make a return to the late 2000’s for more classic Hed Kandi tunes such as the summer classic from Libre and Mamamba we also feature Peyton’s a higher place and James Nate is even here with a dance mix of the message. Also we feature the summer classic that was Jay Cox and read the signs. Also featured on this mix is the nineties dance classic from the Mighty Dub cats and Magic Carpet ride, and we also manage to Slip in the 2004 Number one Dance classic from Eric Prydz’s Call on me which used the sample from Steve Winwoods Valerie. Calvin Harris also features on this mix before we return to the classic Disco with likes of the Tramps – Disco Inferno, Teddy Pendergrass with Do Me and the Gibson Brothers with Que Sera Vida. We end up with an extended version of ABBA's Dancing Queen. Any how enough from me.
