Linda Ronstadt was arguably the most successful female singer in the 70's. She is around 70 years old now, and can no longer sing due to parkinson's disease, but she is still loved by many, including me. I am a big fan. I never thought about doing a medley of her hits, but I was listening to her greatest hits CD the other day, and I realized that she had enough big hits to do a medley of her big hits, and she had plenty! Opening track .... Shimmering. Her opening vocal, "Somewhere out there," honest melancholy. 2:11 mark - CLASSIC. I was in single digits at the time. My mum used to have this track on repeat so I'd stare at the album cover as I'm sure we all did. The servers I see in pubs these days don't hurt me like this one used to...lol. 15:15 - Man, I haven't heard this in ages. 17:20 - Whew man....school bus field trips in grade school and hearing this on everybody's radio. 18:30 - FOREVER GOOSEBUMPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the best vocal passages ever recorded, A time stopper. 20:05 - Whiskey and any roadhouse on earth will rock this classic. 22:35 - WOW, Damn, forgot about this one. 24:35 - TRUTH. Every lady in her lifetime should go through a season where she has this on repeat a couple times. 26:55 - HA....man this got crazy radio play in 1975. 29:00 - Coda....Her voice captures the honesty of the school girl that let you know she had a crush on you.
