cool
Opening track.... - YEP. Male vocals and a nice bassline rumble comes in by the 1:00 mark; notice the lead guitar and off-kilter synth riffs. 3:40 - HA TIMELESS (Instrumental version)!!!!! "Don't you want me baby." If you're 44 and older, as soon as you hear the chords you know the lyric. 7:50 - MAN....VERY NICE. Cabaret-style male vocals and piano rhythm. https://dkxd2qj9i8fak.cloudfront.net/new-design/hero-picture-1.jpg - 11:40 - CLASSIC. Melancholy #her anthem. When in Rome, "The Promise." 15:30 - Definitive New Wave era sound (keys). 18:30 - FLOWS. Male vocals, complex bones (Rhodes) sequencing. 21:40 - Wow. Male vocals, "All I need is everything," and that 1980s, familiar rotating melodic score. 24:30 - "It's poetry and motion," ya'll know the rest. 27:45 - Whoosh. Unique male vocals, "I will understand you," romantic-theme buttons. 30:05 - Sly smile. LUV this instrumental ere. Every 80s movie has a love theme sequence and this totally captures those vibez. 33:50 - Flying. All bout' that lead guitar. 36:20 - The tender-hearted man rant. 39:05 - AH MAN!!!!!!!! Again, this instrumental has that DEFINITIVE New Wave sound. Big hair and bright colors (outfits) in the cities back then....undeniable. 43:05 - JOY BUZZ. GEEEEEEEEZ. Male vocals, nice gait (chords). 45:45 - Male vocals, chime-tone melody. 47:20 - HA!!!!!! Female vocals, playful synth. Hearing this and remembering how many times I fell in love at amusement parks during those summers (hopeful innocence). 50:40 - GROOVES. Male vocals, slick bassline. 52:00 - Blondie, "Call me," nuff said. https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zPwLobgHg0U/VxaPB5ZmQDI/AAAAAAACKMg/_wvb87Ulo1wtkWbxslkWRTby8cfN7pfbACLcB/s1600/Denis-O-Regan-7.jpg - 56:05 - Again, once you hear a couple chords you're singing the chorus on this. "I Ran so far away." 58:15 - Coda....Murky Reggae.
- This 1980s New Wave voyage will conjure up some vivid memories for the 44+ somethings. The instrumental tracks on this set are prominent. You'll easily be able to play a movie (soundtrack) in your mind of where you were back then. If your kids/grandkids are into the music of that era, this is a set you'll want them to check out. michael071011's set comments, "FANTASTIC - TAKE ME BACK." (1 hr 2 mins.)
