Alphatheta Euphonia 100% Vinyl Melodic House Club mix. By me #AlexDJSimms on Technics SL1210GR’s turntables
So this is more of a club style house mix, using more vocals (than I usually do) with a more clubby vibe and big beats. Perfect to get you in the mood to dance! At least half of the mix are made up of brand new tracks along with some older ones and hopefully you will find your new favourite track! If you do please leave comment letting me know which one.
Starting with a brand new track from ‘All Day I dream label’, ‘Luca Sapoito’ and ‘Next to me’. Usually a deep house label this seemed the perfect track to start as it had a big beat and nice build up to it leading me into 'Made by Pete’ with the excellent ‘Fires’. Two big vocal tracks lead to a stomper from the legend that is ‘Dave Seaman’ need I say more.
I am a big fan of ‘Meera’ so seemed essential I included ‘Sykkelkury’ as a cool down before ramping things back up with ‘Wahm x Amine K’. Then onto a classic and one of favourite of the mix with ‘&Me and Black Coffee’s’ ‘The Rapture Part III’. Such a beautiful track and led the way for more a vocal uplift with ‘Bedouin' who release some really beautiful music.
MoBlack Records have really got into their stride with the recent releases in my opinion and African themed house is not to everyones taste but I just love it and feel it really fits with the ‘Keinmusik’ sound hence another one from ‘&Me' with ‘Starting again’ which is midway through the set and a good place to reset and ramp things up.
Danny Howells sets the tone with the excellent ‘Earthlings X’ before a real funky vibe from ‘Damian Lazarus’ with ‘Searching'. Kind of stray into mild techno with 'Trikk’s' ‘Luxo’ but it’s so good I couldn’t not include it. Back to ‘MoBlack’ again with ‘Bamako’ and then onto the amazing ‘Kaz James, Rocker in the Disco’. I just love ‘Mind Against’ as they are always pushing the envelope with their stuff and ‘Love Seeking’ straddles a real club house / pop feel. Back to more techno with ‘Ivory’ and into ‘Dino Lenny’ with ‘House of magic’ which lowers the tempo for the always excellent and I think going to be a classic 'Monkey safari’s’, ‘Safe’ to finish off.
All mixed on the rotary ‘Alphatheta Euphonia’ using it’s built in effects to accentuate the tracks. I am sure no one will really notice unless you know the tracks but makes the mix more my style and is obviously fun.
