Alphatheta Euphonia 100% Vinyl Progressive house DJ mix. By me #AlexDJSimms on Technics SL1210GR’s turntables
I had been working on this mix for a while constantly chopping and changing tracks based around the focal track ‘Still Searching’ when I heard ‘Shiffer and Paul Brennings new release ‘We care’. Knowing I had to use it I waited until it was released late 2024 and worked it into the mix in different places before using it to bookend the set. This changed the flow and direction of the tracks so more were changed / swapped as a result to reduce the overall vocal element.
Anyway onto the mix. I start deep (as always) with the acoustic version of ‘We Care’ before dropping ‘Mirage’ to grab your attention with a big beat and sign post where the mix is going as I weave in some proper progressive tracks with ‘Mind against, Guy Mantzur and Roy Rosenfold (love these guys work) not forgetting my personal favourite producer ‘Clawz SG’ and an excellent track from 'Sebastian Leger’. All building towards the inspiration for this set with ‘Andre Lodemann’ and the haunting vocals of ‘Nathalie Claude'.
I then have a reset with a progressive breaks track (can’t beat it) before building again with more intense progressive techno tracks to get you on your feet from ‘Martinou Matter’, ‘Carlita x Andhim’, ‘Marino Canal’, ‘Corsten Halm’ (another favourite), ‘Dyzen’, ‘Sasha & Super Flu’ (best release from LNOE all year), ‘Meera’ and back to ‘Shiffer’ but this time with the full and excellent original version.
All vinyl mixed on the rotary Alphatheta Euphonia using its built in effects which I am still getting to grips with….. What a beast of a machine……. don’t tell the wife how much it cost though : (
