The origins of this new mix series started with the concept of blending samples from Teddy Pendergrass with acapellas from Ice-T. However, there isn't too many Ice T acapellas available thus I decided to add acapellas from other West coast artists such as Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, King Tee and others.
Now since Teddy's catalog of music is within R&B/Soul genre I decided to use samples from other R&B artists such as Maxwell, Luther vandross, Craig David and others.
Anyhow I think the concept came togther well and hope you ll enjoy the reworking of R&B tunes with emcees from the West Coast.
