I have always loved listening to megamixes and that's why I started creating them myself years and years ago.
Now I also love Christmas and for years have been searching the internet to try and find some Christmas megamixes. Unfortunately the Christmas megamixes I found were either just one Christmas track played after another or "Christmas megamixes" that didn't even deserve the name Christmas megamix because they didn't even have ONE Christmas song in it ..!
So I decided back in 2012 to (try and) create a Christmas megamix myself every year. So far it has been rather successful: created one in 2012, 2013 and currently working on the 2014 edition. My Christmas megamixes are broadcast on two local Dutch radiostations the Day before Christmas. Got some nice feedback on the Christmas megamixes.
Mixing Christmas songs has one BIG handicap: the songs are usually not that "steady played" which means a drum computer of any sort is very very seldom used. But it makes it even more so a very big challenge to create a Christmas megamix! :)
My entry for "Xmas & NYE Competition 2014" is an approx. 30 minutes edit of the Christmas megamix I created in 2012. It features ONLY true Christmas songs ..! I've noticed that the entries for the competition so far aren't really Christmas megamixes, they don't have Christmas songs in them, but are just megamixes that are made in the Christmas period.

Now, what I think is that you'll be on top 3 no doubt, so far. I've also seen commenting on others mixes and saying that are not for Christmas,no soul,whatever...agree with you! But what kind of tracks should be mixed for NYE? Because this contest let you bring the joy of NYE, right? Isn't just ok to mix bangers? Anyway, if I will participate in the following days, I probably won't risk and find some classic Christmas tracks. Good luck!
The risk still exists because if you're not used to mix tracks for Christmas (no beats,etc.), you could totally fail...
Really love this! Typical example what a real megamix is. I do appreciate a lot when a DJ knows how to make a smooth transition without rolling endless loops, excellent work, you're my favorite on this competiton!
